The error I get is it either hangs up forever at “Validating name” or if I click things quickly it will say the name was already already taken please choose another (which I am pretty sure is not true after testing it with many odd names that didnt show up on eq2players.

The problem is that the US servers have not yet restarted with the new configurations, but the EU servers have making them able to see the US servers, but the US servers can not yet talk back.  After tomorrows hotfix the new configuration will be on the US servers and you should be able to transfer without any issues.

This should be working now.  Let me know if you have issues.

 

We are looking into a fix for this issue, but so far currently we have not been able to reproduce it.  Does anyone know of a way to get this to happen 100% of the time?

Keep in mind that I'll have my plat on me, and the stuff that I want to keep.  This being the case, will I still lose my plat and my stuff or what certain things do I lose?  I read on the eq2 site that shared bank items will not be transferred but i didnt see anything else about anything else…lol.

Could someone explain the server transfer thing to me?

The Bazaar has special rules, so I am not refering to that server in my answer. 

Only your shared bank and guild is left behind.  Everything on your character / house is moved with you.

Transfers from EU to US servers will still not be possible.  You can only transfer to the servers you would see at character select.

You got to be kidding me. Why not?? 

EDIT: Ok. I guess I have to do it through phone support then? As I remember that was always possible. As people have transfered chars from Splitpaw to Antonia Bayle before.

Wouldn't make any sense if it wasn't possible, as you allow transfers from any server to the Exchange servers. And these are all US servers. So.

It was always possible to use automated transfer from EU to US servers, i've done it myself numerous times. Why it suddenly isn't now with the new automated transfer system i don't know, because the reasons given above will have always existed.

That had a seperate meta service on top of the game which allow it to communicate with multiple locales (the web based one), since the token transfers are handled purely by the game servers with the new system this communication is no longer possible.  While this is something we want to expand to the new system, it currently does not have this capability.  It would also only allow these transfers when the two locales were on the same version of code.

 

With all the issues we are seeing for ghosted mail we will be adding a way for you to clear out your own ghosted mail.  I am not sure if it will make tomorrows hotfix, but it should be in the next one after that for sure.

I looked through the logs but all the transfer requests I see for you would have brought up an error message stating you have mail.  Did you successfully start any transfers?  If so with which character?

You may have ghosted mail.  A /petition to CS should solve that particular issue.
