Frostfell's Dates have not changed.  These two events will be overlapping, just like December's Moonlight Festival.

The Far Seas Trading Company is proud to introduce a traveling festival for all to participate in! A different city will be chosen to host this week long event, once a month from the first through the seventh. Gorowyn, Neriak, Qeynos and Freeport will each get their chance to host their version of the event. The great city of Kelethin is the first to find the traveling caravan outside it's gates in Greater Faydark from January 1, 2010 through January 7, 2010. Adventurers will find new quests, collections and rewards, many of which are city specific! And for those of us that don't want to wait for the festival to reach our city's gates, we don't have to. City Tokens are being given as further reward for completing city writs!

Right we have a new world event dealing with the collaps of the Overlord's citadel in Freeport and I guest something similar in Qeynos.

How long do these last? Will they take them away when Frostfell ends?

The “Attack upon the Crowns” event is set to run for the entire game update, Maroger.  From the first day of the GU to the very last!

Happy Frostfell, Norrath!

Starting 12/10/09 and running through 1/07/10 Gigglegibbers and Frostfell elves are busy celebrating the season in each player city with tasks and stories for everyone. And those that want an even more concentrated amount of Frostfell festivities are encouraged to enter the Frostfell Wonderland Village through the Magic Closets in Qeynos Harbor, West Freeport, Haven, Kelethin, Neriak and Gorowyn. There you can gather presents to craft wondrous new Frostfell goodies, add to your collections while ducking snowballs, purchase new and classic Frostfell goods, and even assist Gardy Ex-Giftgiver, Mr. McScroogle, Queen Bunny and the innocent Snarf Frostfoot with some important tasks. Don't forget to log in each day and claim your extra-special Frostfell present from everyone's favorite Frostfell Gigglegibber, Santa Glug!

Caethas is correct.  There was a “Door to the Citadel” added to West Freeport (very close to the original), that can only be seen by those on the quest.  Through it players can access “The Overlord's Office”. It reads, “This magical door leads to the past!  Using it will take you  to the Citadel of the Overlord of Freeport as it was before it crashed down upon Freeport.”

Yes we know. The problem here is that this event is active on live servers which haven't had the event where Freeport Citadel crashed down happen yet. If you see one of us Devs online and are having an issue where something is gating let us know and we can try to resolve it. Everyone on the test server should have already gotten an email a while back with the anniversary reward painting so you shouldn't be missing anything really big.

We play pretty much only on Test. A lot. None of our 6 accounts has gotten a painting. Guess it came in the 2 or so months we had taken off. Great. Thanks! Big time thanks! Why in all gods names do you send those 10 months early? And you are not going to test the events? Maybe I'm really just at the end here.

Thankfully, as I pointed out, the event will be activated on Test and Test Copy, when and only when the right files have been updated to the servers.  We'll even move some of the NPCs that are hidden by the debris in Freeport.  You will not miss out on anything.

The Shattered Remains quest can't be completed unless you have The Shadow Odyssey. I don't mind not being able to get quests because of not having the expansion, but not being able to complete one I already spent time on seems unusually unpleasant.

This was not intended and Gninja has already corrected the issue on our side.  We are hoping to get the change to all live servers tomorrow.  I'll let you know if that changes.

As you have noticed, starting on Tuesday, 11/24/2009 and running through 11/30/2009 we have all been invited to participate in the Heroes' Festival!

A call has gone out to all Norrathian adventurers to commemorate the five years that have passed since the Refuge Islands first began collecting those lost in the turbulent oceans. Celebrators, happy to share in the festivities, can be found in North and South Qeynos or West and South Freeport.

I hope you enjoy it!

There’s several bug fixes coming your way that I wanted to let everyone know of:

* Defeating McScroogle’s encounter in the quest “Saving Frostfell” does not award AA, as such the star by his name has been removed.

* The rusty rubble and useful gizmo parts that you must clean up for the quest “Gnopp's One Stop Shop” in Gnip Gnopp's Gizmo Shop now respawns.

* The goblin that pops out of the “Bag 'O Goblin” you are given while on the quest, “Making Coins” no longer can be used in instances or guildhalls.

* Gardy Ex-Giftgiver no longer acts as if he is going to offer you his quest “The Giftgiver's Dilemma”, after you have completed it.

I don’t know when these will be on the Test servers, but they are headed your way!

Frostfell is now active on Test and Test Copy!

One thing to keep in mind, the Frostfell Trees that are placed in Qeynos Harbor and West Freeport are not there, yet.  That requires a zone art change, and is not something I can simply “turn on”.  So, the decor around where those trees should be may be floating off or sunk in the ground a bit.  But everything else is there for your testing delight!

Please assemble any feedback and bugs that you may find in this thread.  Thank you, everyone!
